Loyola buckled a hard-fighting Pachanga-Diliman squad to eke out a 3-2 win in front of a capacity crowd at the emeperador stadium.
With the bleachers and grandstand filled, Ariel Zerrudo opened the scoring to the delight if the Pachanga crowd in the 19th minute. Loyola levelled a few minutes after with a header from James Younghusband frim a corner kick. The Sparks took the lead before the end of the half when a missed Pachanga clearance found its way to an unmarked Chad Gould. The former azkal slotted home the goal with the Pachanga keeper out of position.
In the second half, Phil Younghusband beat the keeper with a soft shot to give the Sparks a 2 goal cushion. Zerrudo gave the Diliman based team a glimmer of hope, scoring his brace off a superb 15 yard strike off a counterattack.
Pachanga was given a golden chance late in the game but nerves took over to give Loyola their first silverware in the UFL.
